Abstract

This article aims to present the benefits that meetings provided by the Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID) has brought to participating scholarship holders who apply the workshops in Campo Bom and Novo Hamburgo schools, with emphasis on English Language. The approach used consisted in the application of pre-prepared lesson plans by scholarship holders, covering several English-language teaching/learning activities integrating all language skills and using appropriate teaching methodologies that integrated such skills. We seek to highlight the importance and the comprehensiveness of the English Language, relating and contrasting aspects of our country with other countries that have English as one of their official languages, increasing students' knowledge. All the process served as a reflection for the future teachers, who confronted their theoretical knowledge with the practices in the classroom and managed to improve the potential of the students, achieving positive results. This way, the results contribute to qualified teacher and engaged to the development of student education.
