“Comunidade dos Gomes”: sociolinguistic news from the talk of a typical community in the region of Juruaia/MG

The region of the South of Minas Gerais carries in its history very strong marks of linguistic peculiarities, such marks were and still are present in the most diverse social relations of this region. A worrying factor is the forgetfulness of these constituent identity marks of many communities, such as the Gomes Community located in the municipality of Juruaia, which is the basis of this work and in which there seems to be evidence of a Creole speaking. As a basic proposal of the research, it is sought to register this people, a populous group and still very faithful to the linguistic inheritances received from their ancestors, as initial sociolinguistic news, aiming at further studies later. We will document not only expressions, but also the history of the village, recording facts that are important in the formation of the group of speakers.
