POETICAL EXISTENCE AND SURVIVAL MECHANISMS IN THE FRONT OF GENDER VIOLENCE

CONSIDERATIONS ABOUT MARINA VERGUEIRO POETRY AND HIV/AIDS

Abstract

This article intends to investigate how Marina Vergueiro poetry, based on the poem “Eu tive aids por dois meses” published in her first poetic anthology entitled Exposta (2019), becomes a survival mechanism in the face of gender violence and its relationship with HIV/aids. As a theoretical subsidy, resort to the concept of transmodernity, postulated by the philosopher Enrique Dussel (2016), in order to highlight the aspects of the periphery that require a specific look at the marginalized poetic production, in line with the aspects of violence in genre elucidated by Saffiotti (2004), and, finally, the perspective of poetry as an experience outlined by Lorde (2019). As a result, it was observed that the poem's lyrical self, as subject-object, takes the place of enunciation in the face of the violence suffered.
