Abstract

Abstract: In the dramatic work El cuerdo loco (1605), Lope de Vega puts into play some political conflicts of a cut environment. In this context, the prince Antonio adopts the simulation of madness to compose several discourses to their benefit and at the same time, against their enemies. The purpose of this article is to analyze a specific discourse, in which the prince based himself in the metaphysics to show pretending to be crazy and that is fully lucid. This way, we can put in evidence the ability the playwright for composing and, above all, to he include in the dialogue of his characters discussions the metaphysic's content.
