A PRODUÇÃO CERVEJEIRA COMO PATRIMÔNIO INTANGÍVEL

Resumo

Resumo: o presente artigo versa sobre a produção artesanal de cerveja em sua dimensão de patrimônio intangível. Argumenta, através da contextualização histórica da técnica em seus milênios de existência, sobre a importância da produção de cerveja em países como a Alemanha e a Bélgica, bem como discute a demanda pela comunidade cervejeira da cidade do Rio de Janeiro em ter suas práticas reconhecidas como patrimônio. Assim, a instituição e a categoria de patrimônio cultural imaterial, que têm base nos documentos da Convenção para a Salvaguarda do Patrimônio Imaterial da UNESCO são relacionadas como meio de preservação, elevação e difusão da herança da perícia cervejeira em tais regiões do globo.

Abstract: this paper discusses the craft of beer production in it's intangible cultural heritage dimension. Argues, through contextualization of the skill in its millennia of existence, about the importance of brewing beer in countries like Germany and Belgium as well as discuss the will by the brewing community of the city of Rio de Janeiro to have it’s practices recognized as heritage. Therefore, the institution and the category of intangible cultural heritage, which origin is on the documents of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, is related as a mean of preservation, exaltation and diffusion of national heritage of expertise in brewing production in these regions of the globe.
