Abstract

3D printing is a technology that has existed for more than two decades, but in recent years its popularization has reached other levels. In the 1990s it was almost impossible to think about home use for this type of printing, since the equipment was gigantic and of a very high price. However, with the patent break and development of technology, this has become more accessible and has, as one of the household items, a 3D printer.  building projects that contribute to people with disabilities. In this article, then, our goal is to briefly resume the history of 3D printing and demonstrate its current applications from the popularization and accessibility that is promoted by the equipment and technology employed in it.
