Abstract

In this paper we presents the results of a study on the analysis of R&R parameter for evaluation of
a measurement system density after drying the body-of-proof ceramic coating for flooring will be presented.
It is presented in text, a brief review of the R&R parameter and also on how to obtain this, by analysis of
variances with random effects and moments methods, estimating the variance components associated with
Factor Part, Factor Operator , the Repeatability, the Reproducibility and the Total Variation of the system.
The results showed that the measurement system under consideration is not acceptable and must be
improved, since the estimated R&R for the index value was greater than 30%. Might also conclude that the
Repeatability is the component with the greatest influence for the misfit of this system, therefore, it is
suggested that training be offered to operators in order to enable them to properly carry out the
measurements.
